A LITTLE ABOUT ME: On the outside, I am a woman who may appear to be quiet and shy. Perhaps strangely out of reach, as some men have claimed, but I really don't mean to be. One of my all-time favorite movies is Amateur, directed by Hal Hartley (1994). The main character, Isabelle, is a former nun who writes pornography while she waits to receive her special mission from God. At one point, she confesses to another character, Thomas, that she is a nymphomaniac. Given that she is still a virgin, he asks her how she can be a nymphomaniac and never have had sex? Her response has always powerfully resonated with me -- I'm choosy. This is a nice summation of my own sexuality/sensuality.
